When it comes to choosing a new website platform, seeing is often believing. Just like you wouldn’t buy a car without taking it for a spin, you wouldn’t migrate your website without having a good idea of which platform you’re switching to. But rather than give them a convoluted answer, we let the websites - and the merchants who sell on them - do the talking. And this is exactly what happened when Chickidee stepped into the Kubix boardroom.
Chickidee owner Joe saw first-hand how the Shopify platform worked when he saw how much their sister company (another of our Kubix clients) enjoyed selling on it. Chickidee had spent the past few years building a name for themselves in the home and giftware industry, selling everything from home fragrance to ceramics, bath accessories to stationery. But what really drove their brand into the spotlight was their campaign for ‘Conscious Living’, pushing for vegan, plastic positive products and also supporting female-dominated workforces to address gender equality across the world. Our Kubix team heard about the amazing work Chickidee were doing investing in communities in Haiti and the Philippines to tackle plastic waste, and we were hooked. We wanted not just to promote their products and bring Chickidee online success, but to tell their story too.
